The "digital edition" offers fully searchable text of all 305 ballads and their notes (3,000+ pages) with enhanced study aids including glossary and index links, a new Place Names Index with ballad maps, computer playable files of all music notations, and new essays on the ballads as literature and on folk-music collectors and collecting.
